New City Collegiate exists to serve the 65,000+ college students of the University of Illinois who are searching for truth and meaning. We believe there are church planters, missionaries, and world changers among that 65,000 that don't yet know Jesus.
We see it as our mandate to reach them and send them.
What we're all about...
New City Collegiate exists to serve the 65,000+ college students of the University of Illinois who are searching for truth and meaning. By giving them the time and space to be known and loved, we immerse them in God’s rescue story and invite them to love God and love others through the Great Commission. This is how we saturate our campus with the Gospel!
Wednesday Night Fellowship
Wednesday Night Fellowship is a weekly fellowship time for the college students of New City hosted at the BASIC House. Each week is different, sometimes we pray, watch movies, play games, or share a meal. It’s all designed to help you slow down and rest during your school week.
Monthly Huddle
A huddle is an Equip Class specifically designed for college students to help them grow. These workshop-style classes are designed to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus so you can make an impact for the kingdom.
Village
Village is where deep relationships are formed in the New City Church. It is rare for a student to hear a story from a parent or young professional over a homecooked meal or snack in a home off campus.
Student Leadership Inititiave
This is a personal mentorship program designed to help you grow as a disciple of Jesus. It looks different for everyone because everyone’s needs are different. You may spend time with a Campus Minister learning the fundamentals of Christianity, learning to cook, going for a hike, and sharing a meal. We do what we can to resource you to be the best you can be.

Gospel Saturated Community
Those served by New City Collegiate are equipped to make a lifelong impact for the kingdom as a disciple of Jesus. Everything we do is designed to help college students be with Jesus, Be changed by Jesus, and Live on Mission with Jesus. Students grow in humility, courage, faith, authenticity, focus, and belonging through interdependence in the local church.
