About Kid City
We want your kids to thrive.
Our goal is to help them become “..rooted & grounded in love...to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth & length & height & depth, & to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge” (Eph. 3:17-19).
We partner with YOU, their parents and guardians, to see Christ change the lives of our youngest New City family members.
Our team members take the responsibility of pouring into the children seriously.
It's why we perform background checks on all of our volunteers, and why our leaders go through Abuse Prevention Training. We genuinely believe: if we can't keep your children safe, we don't get the honor of discipling them.
Additionally, we want your kids to have FUN!
All our teaching is age appropriate, engaging, and will help your kids discover what it means to follow Jesus.
About
The Kid City team serves New City by investing in our kids so that they may be “..rooted & grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth & length & height & depth, & to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge” (Eph. 3:17-19). Our goal is to partner with the parents in our church to see Christ change the lives of our youngest New City family members. Our team members hold the honor of pouring into the lives of the children in Kid City by sharing gospel truths. We help build community among our children and help them see their place in the church.

Who will my kids become?
One of the sobering realities of parenting is that everything your children experience in this life will have an effect on who they become. We take that reality seriously at New City knowing that the experience they have at church will shape so much of how they relate to the church as they grow older.
Our hope is to see the work of Christ in our children! We believe children should be active participants in the church. This is their church too! Our values for Kid City are to create a safe environment, teach the gospel, foster honoring friendships, show kids and families Jesus, lead kids to be on “mission”, and have fun being a kid.

Frequently Asked Questions
We have 3 classes:
-
Dreamers (0-2)
-
Heroes (3-4)
-
Legends (5-8)
How many classes are there & what are the ages?
You can check in your child as soon as you arrive to church on Sunday morning. Our Dreamers room (birth to 2 years old) is ready to take your child as soon as you check them in. The Heroes and Legends classes will get to participate in the songs at the beginning of the worship service and a team member will meet your child at the back of the worship area during the welcome time to bring them back.
When do I send my child back to Kid City?
Please let us know when you check them in! We will add it to their name tag and make sure all team members are aware for snack that day.
All our snacks are all peanut-free.
What if my child has an allergy?
We want you to feel safe and know that it is such a privilege to get to spend time with your child! All of our team members go through a background check and abuse prevention training. When you check your child in you will receive a security code that matches the code on your child’s name tag. We make sure your child is only allowed to leave with the coordinating security code.
How can I feel safe sending my child back?
A team member will text you using the number on your child’s name tag to let you know to come pick up your child to take them to the restroom. If for some reason we can’t get a hold of you, a team member will come find you in the service.
We ask that you bring the security tag with you when you pick them up during the middle of the service for safety reasons.
What if my child needs to use the restroom during Kid City?
If you forget the security tag when picking up a child, we will ask that you go get it before checking your child out. If it is lost, we will ask to see an ID to make sure your child is going to the correct person.
What happens if I forget or lose the security tag?
